App and purchase terms
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms explain use of the Rhetorica app and website, including purchases where available. The app is in testing. Publishing these terms does not make paid subscriptions publicly available. Your app store shows the price and purchase conditions before you confirm a subscription.
Who provides Rhetorica
Rhetorica is provided by DALEBALES LTD, a UK limited company.
Business contact address: 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE.
Questions about the service or a purchase? Contact Rhetorica at rhetorica.app@gmail.com. The privacy policy explains how we process conversation and account data.
Using Rhetorica
Rhetorica transcribes conversations and provides automated coaching. Transcripts, scores and tips can contain errors. Use your judgment and check the source conversation before relying on a result. Coaching does not establish facts about a person or replace professional advice.
Before recording, make sure everyone present knows and agrees. You are responsible for meeting the recording and privacy rules that apply where you are. Use the app lawfully. Do not bypass account, purchase or usage controls, or use another person’s account without permission.
Plans and prices
Verified free accounts receive ten recording minutes per calendar month. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of the month. Free access does not automatically become a paid subscription.
Planned UK monthly subscriptions are:
- Starter: £9.99 per month, with 60 recording minutes per billing period.
- Plus: £19.99 per month, with 150 recording minutes per billing period.
- Pro: £39.99 per month, with 300 recording minutes per billing period.
The store displays your local price, currency and applicable tax information before purchase. We do not offer annual plans or a free trial that automatically becomes paid. Each paid billing period starts and ends on the dates confirmed by the store.
All plans use the same analysis features. More expensive plans provide more recording time. Live analysis can be limited while transcription continues. A completed recording does not guarantee that every analysis or report is available. Saved transcripts and reports remain accessible after paid access ends, unless you delete them.
How recording minutes work
Each recording uses at least one minute. Longer recordings use elapsed seconds, including silence, rather than only the time you speak. One recording can last up to 120 minutes or the available allowance, whichever is shorter. A recording also stops when its current allowance period or access ends.
Unused minutes do not roll over. During an active or finishing recording, some minutes are held until the final charge is settled. Deleting a recording or account does not return used minutes. Renewals create the allowance for the new period; restoring the same period does not create another allowance.
Renewal and cancellation
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Your store charges the payment method linked to your store account. Cancel before the next renewal through the store that billed you. The store shows your next billing date and cancellation status.
- Manage or cancel a Google Play subscription.
- Manage or cancel a subscription billed by Apple, where offered.
Cancellation normally leaves paid access available until the paid period ends. A refund or store revocation can end access earlier. Uninstalling the app or deleting your Rhetorica account does not cancel a subscription. If a payment fails, access follows the grace or expiry status confirmed by your store.
Changing plans and restoring purchases
On Android, an upgrade takes effect when the store confirms it. The app adds the difference between the current and new minute allowances. Used minutes still count. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal, with the current allowance available until then. The store shows any charge and the effective date before you confirm a change.
For purchases billed by Apple, manage plan changes through Apple. The store confirms their price and effective date. Store availability can differ by platform and region.
Restore purchases links the remaining subscription allowance to the Rhetorica account you are signed into. If the subscription belonged to another Rhetorica account, access transfers rather than creating a second allowance. Used minutes and unfinished recordings still count. Conversation content stays with the account that created it.
A purchase can take time to appear while the store confirms access. Use Check access again or Restore purchases if needed. You do not need to buy the same subscription again while confirmation is pending.
Service failures, minute credits and refunds
If our service fails and saves no usable transcript, we return the charged minutes, up to ten minutes per account per UTC month. Returned minutes cannot exceed the charge for the failed recording and do not extend an expired allowance. Silence, a user stop or a report-only failure does not qualify for this automatic credit by itself. Contact us if a failure needs review beyond that automatic limit.
Minute credits are separate from monetary refunds. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase, your store’s rules and applicable consumer law. Cancellation alone does not automatically request a refund.
Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights, including rights for faulty or misdescribed services and applicable cancellation rights. The automatic minute-credit limit does not limit those rights.
Your content and account deletion
You retain your rights in the content you provide. We process it to deliver the service as described in the privacy policy. You can delete conversations or request account deletion. See the deletion instructions for methods and retention periods. Minimal billing records can remain until the billing cycle ends plus 30 days. Account deletion does not cancel store billing.
Changes and contact
This page records the current terms. We will explain material changes before they apply, including any required store notice or consent for price changes. Your statutory rights and rights relating to earlier purchases remain protected. The Rhetorica name and website content belong to their respective rights holders.
